Kalaimanram was founded by late W.M Cumarasamy of Jaffna, father of “Kalabhooshanam” Shrimathy Thiripurasundari Yoganantham and was inaugurated by her guru, “Natya Kalakesari” “Isai Perarignar” “Padmashri” Vazhuvoor B. Ramaiah Pillai on the 21st of oct 1958.
Vazuvoor R Samaraj
Vazhuvoor style of Bharatanatyam which originated in the village of Vazhuvoor. Known actually as Vazhuvoor, this village in the vicinity of Mayiladuturai in Thanjavur district is the native place of Ramaiah Pillai, who popularised this style of Bharatanatyam.

Yadavan son of “ Kalabhooshanam” Thiripurasundari and Mr Yoganantham hails from the family that is deep rooted in traditions of karnatic music and bharathanatyam. He trained from a young age in Srilanka, later studied in India under the renowned “Sangeetha kalanidhi B Rajam Iyer”in Chennai.
